Description
Becoming a Champion in any sport means more than just training your body. Preparing your mind for the hard work, adversity and achievement ahead is essential. High School athletes, parents and coaches, are invited to join Certified Sports Life Coaches, Olympians and professional athletes in a day long Tempe camp focusing on critical aspects of the mental conditioning it takes to become a Champion.

Join us for a day of learning from the best starting with ACHF’s founder, Arnold Payne, former Zimbabwean Track and Field World Championship competitor and NCAA All American, current speed, footwork and conditioning coach for professional athletes. Learn critical mental preparedness skills as you move into college athletics and beyond. Arnold will have a number of friends from the sports world assisting throughout the day.
Student Sessions topics include:
- Personal Stats/10 Moments
- Rest and Recover
- Winning Strategies
- How to support a Champion in the Community
- Conditioning, Footwork, Speed Drills
- Each student will get to workout and run drills led by athletes and coaches
Parent(s)/Coach(s) Session topics include:
- Maintaining positive, loving support
- Praise in public; criticize in private
- Realistic expectations
- Success is more than a final score
- Teach how to deal with adversity and fear as part of the athletic experience
- From 2:30-4:30pm - you are welcome to stay for the Speakers Panel at 4:30pm
